The layering concept revolves around combining different garments with different functions. It moves away from all-in-one products and compromises towards different individual layers with their own clear function.
The big advantage of layering is its high adaptability and flexibility. Designed with the airbag at its heart, because safety comes first.
Combining motorcycle clothing correctly
From the inside out, the system starts with the baselayer: functional motorcycle underwear.
This is followed by the midlayer, which protects against the cold, supplemented by the airbag as an additional safety layer.
This is followed by the main layer – the actual protective clothing. To stay protected from the rain, an additional rain protection layer can be added.
Base and mid layers
Here we are talking about functional motorcycle underwear that is worn directly on the skin. It effectively wicks moisture away from the body, keeps the skin dry and actively supports temperature regulation.
The midlayer includes a versatile fleece jacket that provides extra warmth on cool days. Thanks to the X-FIT system, it can be worn comfortably and without restriction under a motorcycle jacket.
A kidney belt can also protect against the cold. It also supports the muscles and improves sitting posture.
Airbag
The airbag provides immediate protection – exactly when it matters most. In less than 60 milliseconds, the airbag is fully inflated and provides maximum protection.
Serious injuries to the chest, spine, and abdomen are reduced by up to 41%. It is important that the airbag is worn under a compatible jacket.
Almost all of the jackets in our collection are now airbag-compatible. This is easily recognizable by the “Airbag Ready” label (usually on the sleeve).
Main layer – jacket and trousers

Outer shell
GORE-TEX® and solto-TEX® jackets offer reliable protection against the wet.
In contrast, Air and BigAir jackets, which are designed for maximum ventilation, are not waterproof.
To protect against unexpected rain showers, iXS rainwear made from solto-TEX® can simply be pulled on over the top. This keeps the rider dry and comfortable.
Thanks to the generous cut and flexible stretch material, the rainwear fits reliably – even when the airbag is deployed.
